Recreation's Response: Climate Change Sharing Series - HRM Region
Climate change is already influencing how and where we explore and connect with nature. Let’s come together to discuss how recreation can adapt and thrive in this changing environment.
This free, half-day indoor/outdoor session will bring together recreation professionals and community leaders to:
- Share experiences and insights
- Strengthen connections, capacity, and resilience
- Explore creative strategies for adapting recreation to a changing climate

Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for coffee and tea, with the session beginning at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided by New Leaf Enterprises, and accessibility supports are available. Participants will also have a chance to win a door prize generously provided by our supporting partners.

Space is limited (maximum 60 participants). If your organization includes youth members, we invite and encourage their attendance!
(The venue offers wheelchair-accessible washrooms and indoor/outdoor spaces, with seating available throughout the day. Dietary needs will be collected during registration, and additional accessibility supports can be arranged upon request.)
