Recreation's Response: Climate Change Sharing Series - HRM Region

Climate change is already influencing how and where we explore and connect with nature. Which is why we are gathering to discuss how recreation can adapt and thrive in this changing environment by:

  • Sharing experiences and insights
  • Strengtheni ng connections, capacity, and resilience
  • Explore creative strategies for adapting recreation to a changing climate

Thank you for everyone who had joined us at the inaugural Recreation’s Response: Building Climate Resilience Together session on December 5th. Wela'liek! It was a day of connections and hope, with conversations that were rich, honest, and grounded in real experience.

Virtual Sharing & Recap Session

On January 15, 2026, Recreation Nova Scotia hosted a Virtual Sharing & Recap Session. This session offered participants who were unable to attend the December 5 pilot session in HRM an overview of the project, while also giving those who attended a chance to share further insights and see how their input influenced the results.
