Recreation Nova Scotia membership includes professionals, volunteers, educators, students, elected officials, and commercial organizations. RNS is open to everyone interested in recreation, community development, parks, fitness, sport, facilities, aquatics, therapeutic recreation, camping, the arts, culture, or other related sectors.
How to become a member of Recreation Nova Scotia
- Choose your membership category below.
- Complete the online form.
- Once the membership application has been received, an invoice will be generated and sent by email to the primary contact for an annual membership that will be valid until March 31 of the following year. The invoice will include payment instructions for credit card, e-transfer, or cheque.

- Group ($80)
- Student ($35)
- Individual ($70)
- Corporate/Business ($130)
- Municipal – based on population ($600 to $1300 range)

RNS will soon launch a new Membership Management platform. Once the platform is live, members will receive an email with a link to it. The platform will feature automated invoicing for membership fees for the 2025-26 fiscal year and allow members to update their membership details, communication preferences, and more, all in one place.
