JUNE IS RECREATION MONTH WEBINAR
June is Recreation Month, which is celebrated across Canada and has long served as an opportunity for communities to showcase the role recreation plays in quality of life. In Nova Scotia, municipalities have participated in various ways over the years, but 2025 marked a renewed effort toward a coordinated, regional and provincial approach.
The Valley Recreation pilot (2025) demonstrated the value of shared branding, collaborative planning, and joint promotion across multiple municipalities and community organizations. This pilot provided a strong foundation for expanding June is Recreation Month into a simple, plug-and-play model for province-wide use.
