Celebrating its 25th year, the Annual RNS Conference will happen this October 11-13 at Digby Pines Resort, Digby, NS. Applications for presentations are now open and you can apply here.
The audience will include Municipal Recreation professionals (directors, programmers, and Active Living Coordinators), Regional Physical Activity Coordinators (RPAC’s), sport professionals, Mayors, Councilors, Provincial Recreation Organizations (PROs), Community Recreational Organization (CRO's), Recreation staff and board members from all over Nova Scotia.
Speaker submissions are due by March 2, 2023.

Recreation Nova Scotia (RNS) is collaborating with the Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS) to host educational opportunities on the topic of Intercultural Workplaces. The Intercultural Workplace learning series is an established program offered by ISANS that we hope to tailor to the recreation sector.
The workshop(s) will be geared particularly to anyone working or volunteering in recreation, but with particular focus and relevancy for those who are responsible for recruiting, hiring and managing staff/volunteers. The survey will help guide content to ensure the workshops on relevant and accessible.

FREE Workshop Gender Equity in Recreational Sport
In partnership with the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association, we are pleased to announce we will be hosting a FREE workshop on gender equity in recreational sports for local sport and recreation practitioners and decision-makers interested in creating welcoming environments, through facility use policies and facility design ideas, for women, girls, and gender-diverse people.
