2023/2024 RNS Board of Directors - Slate of Nominees

The Board of Directors of Recreation Nova Scotia (RNS) is pleased to announce the Slate of Candidates for the 2023-2024 Board of Directors. Nominations will take place at the AGM on October 11, 2023, at noon at Digby Pines Resort. Nominations can still be taken from the floor that day if a candidate completes all of the required application documents and has submitted them to RNS.

There will be an election for the two open positions available for Director at Large (1 year). Please see the application and resumes of the candidates below.

RFP Open for the Municipality of Cumberland 5-year Active Living and Recreation Strategy

The Municipality of Cumberland is beginning the process of creating its new 5-year Active Living and Recreation Strategy with a high priority on rural recreation. They are currently seeking a consultant to help with this process.

Funding Available for the 2023 RNS Annual Conference

If cost is a barrier, we are happy to be able to provide a limited number of subsidies towards the 2023 RNS Annual Conference registrations and accommodations, thanks to funding from the Province of Nova Scotia. Funding of up to $15,000 is available to individuals from the following equity-deserving groups: 2SLGBTQIA+,African Nova Scotians,Indigenous Persons, Other Racialized Persons, Persons with a Disability, and youth (ages 29 and under) and funding up to $5,000 is available for Provincial Recreation Organizations.
