We are pleased to announce that funding has been received from the Province of Nova Scotia’s Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage (CCTH) for the professional development of recreational practitioners across the province.
CCTH has generously provided $29,451.45 towards subsidizing professional development opportunities through the Atlantic Recreation and Facilities Conference (ARFC) for members of both Recreation Nova Scotia (RNS) and the Recreation Facility Association of Nova Scotia (RFANS). The funding will be dispersed equitably.

This funding will go toward supporting RNS and RFANS members with the cost of twenty-five (25) conference registration fees to attend this engaging event, which will provide professional development used to promote healthy, vibrant community growth, innovation, diversity and inclusion and collaboration through networking and connecting with peers in the sector.
Five (5) full conference packages to support the following equity groups: youth, 2SLGBTQIA+, persons with disabilities, Indigenous persons, African Nova Scotians, or other racialized persons will also be made available.
