Recreational Trails Expansion Program

Nova Scotia has always been a place rich in culture, heritage, sport and recreation. The trails in Nova Scotia contribute much to our quality of life. They enrich our communities and benefit our economy. By investing in trail development and expansion, we realize their tremendous value for Nova Scotians.

The Recreational Trail Expansion Grant Program 2019-2020 is now accepting applications. The program provides funding to community groups, municipalities, Mi’kmaq Band Councils, and ‘not-for- profit’ organizations to develop new trails, expand recreational trails, and perform capital upgrades to existing trails in order to increase opportunities for Nova Scotians to recreate in the outdoors and connect with nature.

The guidelines for the Recreational Trail Expansion Grant program can be found at https://cch.novascotia.ca/trail-funding-programs. The deadline to apply is March 26th, 2019.
